Groups on the mat

This is where it’s easiest to hear what your body is really saying.

Joseph Pilates created a coherent system of work encompassing both mat exercises and specialized equipment. Each of these tools brings something different to the practice, and the mat occupies a unique place within this system.

If you want to truly get to know someone, you’ll prefer a quiet setting over a noisy environment full of distractions. It’s similar with your own body. A mat often allows you to hear more, feel more, and better understand the way you move.

This is where we build movement awareness, strength, control and precision, which later translate into every other form of activity and daily functioning.

Many people are surprised after their first class by how demanding Pilates on the mat can be. The exercises often look simple, but they require concentration, precision, and commitment. This apparent simplicity belies their effectiveness.

Our groups have a maximum of eight participants, allowing the teacher to closely monitor participants and support their development. We also ensure appropriate group levels are selected so that everyone can practice in a comfortable environment and develop at their own pace.

Reformer groups

Support when you need it. Challenge when you’re ready.

Joseph Pilates created the reformer as an integral part of his method. It’s not an add-on to Pilates, but one of the tools that has shaped the entire system from the beginning.

The moving platform and spring system allow the reformer to support movement, provide challenges, help you find greater precision, or develop strength and control. This allows for a wide range of exercises to be tailored to the needs, goals, and skill level of the user.

While the reformer brings new elements to the practice, the focus remains on what matters most – body awareness and movement quality. The equipment doesn’t do the work for you. It helps you find movement where support is needed and raises the bar where you can take the next step.

Our reformer classes have a maximum of five participants. The intimate atmosphere allows the instructor to closely observe participants, provide personalized instruction, and ensure the highest quality of each participant’s performance. With a small number of people in the room, we can combine the energy of group classes with the mindfulness that is so important to us.

Individually or in a duet

You don’t always need more exercise. Sometimes you just need a workout that addresses exactly what you need today.

Individual and duo training allow you to create a program tailored to the needs of one or two people. This format gives the instructor the greatest freedom in building a training program and utilizing the entire Pilates system.

During classes, we use both a mat and the full range of studio equipment. The Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Arm Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Ped-a-Pull offer a wide range of options and allow you to choose exercises that best suit your current needs and training goals.

It also means greater freedom in planning your classes and the ability to work regularly at times that fit your daily rhythm.

Just as you need.
